Often a portfolio may contain blocks within Conservation Areas, or which are Listed and it will be necessary to seek the agreement of the Planning Authorities. These buildings are valuable assets and any TV installation should both comply with the requirement of the planning authorities whilst the design should be sensitive to the aesthetics of the building and local surroundings.
Concero has extensive experience of system design & negotiation with Planning Authorities to obtain their agreement for system installations at Listed & Conservation sites. Concero are able to carry out the whole Planning Management process for you from initial site meetings to agree an outline design, the preparation of rendered and Scale Drawings through to the formal application submission process .
Once planning approval is granted, the Planning Authorities requirements as detailed within our design: proposed routes, Dish locations, cable colours, concealment etc will act as guide to installation contractor during the deployment phase.
Planning requirements can affect the delivery of a project within defined times scales particularly if the portfolio has an extensive number of Listed or Conservation sites. Accordingly, we recommend that you adopt a Planning Management strategy as early as possible. This ensures that at contract award, a volume of sites have planning approval and the reminder of the sites can be incorporated in to a rolling build programme.
